Our department has two dedicated laboratories in the Edwards-Holman Science Center (EHS).

General Lab

The larger "general lab" is open to students majoring and minoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. The general lab boasts a large number of high-performance workstations together with multi-media facilities for lectures and a dedicated server room.

Majors Research Lab

The smaller "majors research lab" is reserved for Computer Science majors and provides our department with an additional collection of state-of-the-art workstations along with other systems for research such as our Beowulf cluster. Systems in both labs are capable of running a variety of operating systems and the hardware is upgraded every few years guaranteeing our students access to the latest state-of-the-art hardware and software systems.

Our labs are connected by a high-speed local area network that is connected to the Internet via a dedicated high-bandwidth connection. Students manage our labs and our networks, providing hands-on experience in system and network management.
